All Hultafors axes are hand forged by craftsmen from premium quality Swedish steel, at Hults Bruk forge in the Swedish province Ostergotland.
At Hults Bruk, the forging tradition goes as far back as 1697. As part of the head-forging process the steel axe head is struck 40-60 times, to increase density and durability to the head.
